Nadine Diaz, Attorney At Law
Attorney Nadine Diaz Steps Up and Donates A New State-of-the-Art Dance Floor to FlavaFitness Studio
FlavaFitness Studio, one of the leading Zumba® fitness studios in the greater Tampa area, is known for playing host to many revolutionary fitness moves on their dance floor. However one member of the studio is about to perform a maneuver no one ever thought possible: an accident attorney spending thousands of dollars to prevent her fellow members from getting injured.

Attorney Nadine Diaz, a longtime member and Zumba® enthusiast at FlavaFitness Studo, is donating $15,000 to rip out the existing traditional floating wooden studio floor so it can be re-engineered with new Actiflex Stadium flooring. This state-of-the-art new flooring system is designed to lessen the impact of today’s jam-based dance fitness moves by transferring the energy of strike impacts to the flooring and away from vulnerable bones and joints.

“I’ve been dancing and shaking my booty at FlavaFitness for years, and the classes there have brought so much fulfillment to my life,” said Diaz. “FlavaFitness is such a huge part of the basic fabric of old Tampa, and I’m thrilled to be able to help my friends continue to improve their health and wellbeing, while protecting their bodies at the same time.”

New Flooring Type at FlavaFitness -- Actiflex Stadium Flooring

The new studio flooring at FlavaFitness will be outfitted with 1,600 sq-ft of Actiflex stadium flooring. Designed and manufactured by Boen Sport Floors, Actiflex stadium is an area elastic sports floor where the boards are installed on top of a shock absorption foam. This foam inlay, combined with the Actiflex spruce hardwood and engineered wood layering, distributes the energy of the fitness maneuvers throughout the surfacing. Actiflex Stadium flooring has been tested in accordance of EN14904 and meets the requirements of all five test elements and achieves the highest Type A4 classification. EN14904 testing measures shock absorption, deformation, friction, ball bounce, and rolling load.

Jeni J, owner of FlavaFitness, is elated about having the new low-impact protective flooring installed at her studio. “Beyond improving the health of our members, Flava is simply about using the emotion and excitement of dance to improve one’s self image and overall lifestyle. This new protective flooring is going to help my members dance their butts off like never before, while helping to protect them from injuries which cause them to take time away from the studio. It’s a win-win for everyone!,” said Jeni J.
